Job Description: Distribution Coordinator

Position Overview: As a Distribution Coordinator for the Professional Football League, you will play a crucial role in managing the distribution of content and merchandise related to the League. You will be responsible for coordinating the logistics and ensuring timely delivery of various items to fans, media partners, sponsors, and other stakeholders. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Distribution Logistics:
  • Coordinate the distribution process for various items, including tickets, promotional materials, merchandise, and other League-related products.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as marketing, operations, and sales, to understand distribution needs and timelines.
  • Establish relationships with shipping providers, warehouses, and fulfillment centers to ensure efficient and cost-effective distribution operations.
  1. Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking quantities, locations, and movement of merchandise and other distribution items.
  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate demand to ensure adequate stock is available for distribution.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to manage product replenishment and ensure timely availability of merchandise.
  1. Order Fulfillment:
  • Process orders received through various channels, such as online platforms, customer service inquiries, and partner requests.
  • Prepare and pack orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring items are packaged securely for safe delivery.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups, generate shipping labels, and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders before shipment.
  • Inspect merchandise for any defects or damages and resolve any issues in collaboration with vendors or manufacturers.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards in product packaging and presentation.
  1. Customer Service and Issue Resolution:
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries and issues related to distribution, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Respond to customer queries regarding order status, tracking information, and general distribution-related questions.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer concerns and improve the overall customer experience.
  1. Reporting and Documentation:
  • Generate regular reports on distribution activities, including order volume, inventory levels, and shipping metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to distribution operations, including invoices, receipts, and shipping documents.
  • Analyze distribution data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
  1. Compliance and Legal Requirements:
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to product distribution, shipping, and consumer protection.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in regulations that may impact distribution operations.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any distribution-related legal issues or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in distribution, logistics, or inventory management, preferably within the sports industry or a similar environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and order management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to resolve distribution-related issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of shipping and freight practices, including familiarity with shipping carriers and shipping regulations.
  • Customer-focused mindset and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
